Recently, I’ve been trying to keep my wits about me.
I’ve been busy with school. One Praxis down, two to go! Now I can teach in Utah! March will be my second and sometime after that I will have my third which will allow me to teach in Kansas! Of course that will all be fine and dandy pending I get all of my 42 tasks done by the end of May which includes writing papers, essays based off observations, and making lessons to teach in classrooms during observations if the teachers deem me worthy. Phewy! I need a nap! Lots of work ahead of me folks!
Then, my husband reaches over our counter for the bottle of cleaner to clean our table one day last week. Friday, I believe. Pinched a nerve. Out of work for a week and I get to take care of him because he needs to stay off his feet and he’s full of pain killers, on top of my normal duties and his. Sunday afternoon/evening, he turns, feels a pop in his back and all the pressure released letting him bend twist, turn, stoop, kneel, all the things he needed to do in order to go to work again.
Yesterday afternoon, my son decides to test the integrity of a toy on the floor with his foot by jumping off of his bed onto said toy. He limped for a while, put him down for a nap and then after ward, he can’t walk on it at all. Took him to the ER and found that it was a soft tissue injury that should clear itself up after a day or so of not being on it. Yeah, um, hello! Have you met my son? The one who wont sit still for five minutes unless he’s asleep? Yep, needless to say, he’s up and around and there’s nothing I can do about it.
On top of all of this, my daughter decides to break out into an allergic rash to who knows what and it’s getting worse everyday.
No time to write…
No time to do school work…
But, I’m making time to write! 
Made a 5,000 + word increase on Heart Song today. Super excited about it! Feeling really good about it, especially considering the original ended at 50, 069 (or thereabouts) and now I’m at 53, 800. No where near done yet. Still much to do.
School work will be put off for another day. I planned to start on Thursday, now that hubby is back at work and our lives are getting back to some resemblance of normalcy. May not happen. But I’m going to try and tomorrow, devoted completely to writing.
Must write!
That is my current mantra.
